Protect your driveway from the elements
Blocked Paving Sealing
Using a high quality sealant on your driveway has many benefits, the most obvious is protecting your block paving from the elements, and protecting the investment you have made in your property. There are also a few more benefits that perhaps are not so obvious:-
- Protects the surface from staining
- Eliminates the growth of algae
- Significantly reduces the chances of weed growth
- Prolongs the lifespan of your paving
- Binds together jointing sand, which increases the strength
- Enhances the colouring and prevents fading
There are a couple of pitfalls an inexperienced user can make when applying sealant, which is why choosing Abbey Property Care to perform this task for you is a wise choice. We always use a high quality sealant as their cheaper counterparts are prone to abrasion and can turn yellow as they age. Sealant should never be applied to newly laid block paving, the jointing sand takes around 3 to 4 months to fully settle, so we won't seal your drive unless it is 6 months old. Sealing a driveway too early means you will seal in any defects, which could cause problems in the long run.
A high quality restoration product for tarmac and asphalt surfaces. It was originally designed with commercial applications in mind, but is now available as a repair product for home owners.
Unlike cheap bitumen based products available in DIY shops, Tarmaseal is a high quality acrylic water based pigmented tarmac restorer. Tarmaseal not only transforms the surface, it also replaces lost resins and colour from the Tarmac.
Once applied the tarmac surface will be protected, re-coloured and restored. If a top up coat of Tarmaseal is applied every few years, it will stay in good condition for many years to come
